My Story

Originally from Egypt, I grew up in Saudi Arabia, studied interior architecture in California, worked in Egypt, and eventually made my way to Montreal for a master's in User Experience.

I came to UX from interior design, and the pivot made complete sense to me. My favorite part of designing a space was never the mood board and design aesthetics it was sitting with the client, understanding how they'd actually live in it and use it, and letting that shape every design decision. Functional first, beautiful always. UX is exactly the same thing, just on a different canvas.

I can't design without research and a strategy not because I have to, but because that's where the real work is. I love the moment an insight reframes everything. And I love what comes after: the impact, the change, the thing that actually works.

What I Believe

Every shape, every flow, every interaction is an answer to a question someone asked before. Real design starts with understanding, not assumptions.

When I’m Not Working

Outside of work, I'm usually hunting for the best café in whatever city I'm in (evaluating the space as much as the coffee), eating through cuisines I haven't tried yet, getting voluntarily tortured on a Lagree megaformer, or planning a trip somewhere that'll teach me something new.
